Artist Walkabout with Strijdom van der Merwe

Join us for a walkabout led by acclaimed Land Artist, Strijdom van der Merwe. As an introduction to the first of the artist interventions with our exhibition in Gallery 4 - 'AbstRacT - the hidden synchrony’ - van der Merwe conceptualized an installation entitled 'A Study on Curvature.'  Colouring stations will be setup throughout the museum and all materials will be provided. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sessions are to be entirely self-guided.  Folk-art with the Rooster and Rabbit as main characters will be the focus. You may select an art style from inspirations provided by artists such as Jean Lurçat, Henri Matisse and JH Pierneef.
