Feathered with artist Theo Paul Vorster (18yrs+)

Join this introductory relief block printing workshop. The journey will begin with transferring an image to lino, while Vorster demonstrates carving techniques and shares guidance as you carve. 

This relief block printing workshop is presented with inspiration taken from the latest edition of the Artist Spotlight Series – Cecil Skotnes (1926-2009) who was also part of the Amandlozi Group. View his work and a pop-up selection of the group members in Gallery 3. 

 In this workshop you will print your lino creation by hand. Expect the whimsical and playful approach of Vorster while further gaining insight to paper preparation and printing demonstrations as the day progresses. 

 The workshop will conclude with Vorster demonstrating his iconic ink colouring by hand. 

 All materials and protective wear are provided. No previous carving or printing experience needed. If you are more experienced, you are still welcome to join. Due to the nature of this event, no refunds can be given for cancellations.
