Come get your hands dirty. Join Klara-Marié den Heijer for a workshop on pigment making. Learn all about where colours come from. And try your hand at turning earth, clay, sand, or soil into paint. You will be guided through the process of making pigment, grinding it into paint, and then paint a colour swatch with your own handmade paint.

Museum Saturday WORKSHOP in AFRICAN MUSIC with Pedro Espi-Sanchis (All ages)

Event

In this workshop we will look at two specific early instruments, the first flute ever created (known as Ixilongo, Mtshingo and Lekgodilo) and a set of one note pipes (known as Dithlaka, Dinaka or Tshikona) which was shared amongst the group each person playing just one note. Each participant will be given a flute and a single note pipe to play and take home.
