The Future on the Horizon: Top 30 Viewers’ Choice
25 November 2025 – 25 January 2026
Since 2019, the Rupert Museum has built close relationships with a select group of local NGOs and NPOs. As part of our outreach to the local community, we regularly offer workshops and creative outings for the youth. These learners, generally aged between 10 and 13 years, have experienced a variety of activities and workshops at the museum.
In mid-2024, the Journaling with the Youth project kicked off. The project focused on key art elements, quick yet interactive activities to activate creative thinking, and building awareness around everyday objects and the landscape that surrounds us. Each learner completed their own journal – either a flip file or a bound visual diary, depending on their age – to keep as a reference.
During Youth Month 2025, each learner visited the museum for a two-day interaction. We laughed, learned, and were covered in a rainbow of colours while creating interpretive landscape drawings and paintings. Each young creative randomly drew “prompts” to be included in their artwork and was tasked with giving their artwork a title.
We are now delighted to present the Top 30 Viewers’ Choice, selected by our visitors after several weeks of voting. Thank you to everyone who visited to cast their votes.
This exhibition showcases standout works created through our ongoing journaling project, involving learners aged 7–16 from our partner organisations: Legacy Development, Anna Foundation, Green Door Project, Vision Afrika, and The Sustainability Institute.
