Description
IRMA & MAGGIE Colouring book follows the world-wide trend of using colouring books to popularise some of the great paintings of the world. The aim is to revive the work of these two artists and to get the public to actively take part in appreciating their art. Irma Stern (1894 – 1966) and Maggie Laubser (1886 – 1973) are considered to be two of the most famous South African women artists. They were greatly influenced by the European Expressionists of the twentieth century and contributed largely to modernise painting in South Africa during the early part of the century.
