Museum Saturday #GallerySessions with Shongololo

Guitarist and Producer Shaun Galolo, Marimba Player and Percussionist Keketso Belofo, and DJ and Trumpet player Lee Thomson come together to create the fusion known as Shongololo. This trio effortlessly combines electronic beats, rich African sounds, and the improvisations of jazz, weaving a tapestry of music. With Shaun’s soulful guitar, Keketso’s mesmerizing marimba, and Lee’s melodic trumpet playing, Shongololo’s sound is a dance of tradition and innovation, a celebration of rhythm and melody that will transport you to a world where genres blend seamlessly and a true celebration of a rich musical heritage.

#GallerySessions are returning to the Café Garden as of this month (if weather permits – if not, Gallery 2 will be the space). This electric trio will bring some South African tunes into their playlist, while you can sit back relax with a Leopard’s Leap wine cocktail, glass of wine, cold beer or homemade iced tea in hand and dig into classic South African favourites served up by the Museum Café.
