Introduction to Botanical Printmaking with Monique Day-Wilde (18yrs +)
Ending Garden Month celebrations on a high note, it is time to use the wonderful offerings found in nature and create your own collection of unique Botanical Monoprints. Participants will be introduced to a few printing techniques using physical plant specimens and textures to create one-of-a-kind artworks. Monique Day-Wilde, a multimedia artist, will share tips on different kinds of paper and inks that contribute to the unique, and quality prints one can produce. The recipe to make gelatine plates at home with all the skills learned will equip you to keep on creating prints in your own time.
Please note that this is a special offering, costs subsidized by the Rupert Museum. There will be no lunch break, but an opportunity to order drinks and sweet treats for the break. You are welcome to bring your own snacks (water is available in the workshop space) or go for lunch at the Museum Café after the workshop.
No cancellations will be given a refund.
To be put on a waiting list, please email grace@rupertmuseum.org.
