ACTION PAINTING – it’s a family affair

Yes, it is time to get covered in paint! Put your emotions on canvas by techniques that are not so traditional. It’s all about having fun as a group, if this is family, friends, couples… we invite you to come make your own ABSTRACT painting that will be all about the action used to apply the paint. It’s time to drip, spray, splat, smear, throw, twirl, [your own marks and ways] to play with colours. All this being inspired by the current exhibition AbstRacT – the hidden synchrony on exhibition in Gallery 4.
Please note one booking is suited to 1-4 people (adults, kids or mix) and results in one canvas (sized between 30cm and 76cm – variety to choose from) you will take home. Additional canvasses can be purchased on the day if you feel you just want to keep on creating. Protective wear in the form of full-length body aprons will be provided, it is advisable that ‘smart’ clothing is not worn and shoes to be removed during this activity, as you feel comfortable. Paint will be washable from your skin and some textiles / material, but we cannot guarantee it won’t stain your clothing.

Please keep to the time you book, bookings are on the hour for the duration of the day, a small number of tickets might be made available on the day.
