Museum Saturday CHARCOAL FACES with artist Christelle du Plessis

Join us for a portraiture workshop presented by artist Christelle du Plessis who placed third in this years Portrait Award with her work Petri.
Christelle will share her passion of drawing and portraiture with discussions on the importance of this genre through the ages.
Practically you will look at the anatomy of the face, expressions that make each face unique, discover how to create shapes and forms on flat surfaces by drawing these through exercises.
You are required to bring a A4 black and white print of the person / portrait you would like to create. All materials for the day will be supplied. No previous training is required to join this workshop.

A 30min lunch break at 13h00. Food can be ordered from the Museum Café’s special Heritage inspired menu, only cash and Snapscan accepted. You are also welcome to bring your own lunchbox.
