Museum Saturday The world of watercolours with artist Teresa Decinti (18yrs +)

Watercolour painting requires a variety of techniques! This workshop will cover techniques such as graded washes, wet on wet painting, wet on dry watercolour painting, dry brush, variegated washes, splattering, watercolour dripping, glazing, colour mixing to mention a few.
This is a one on one, tailor-made, watercolour painting workshop with Teresa Decinti, a professional artist who is passionate about her involvement, environment and subject matter.
Her work is vibrant and explores the endless use of colour.
The workshop will include step-by-step demonstrations of painting with landscape as focus.
The demonstration of her techniques will blow you away with the unique and intriguing use of colour, subject matter, transparency and texture.
Learning to simplify the complexity of a landscape by simple brushstrokes, is a lot harder than it looks!
Decinti tends to move in the direction of abstraction while using colour and light in her work, a fine balance between realism and abstraction!
Watercolour can be challenging but you should keep your approach gentle and not overwork the colours, otherwise it becomes muddy. By joining this workshop the how to’s will be shared, as the group has fun in exploring new ways of achieving texture and a whole new world of colour.
All materials and equipment will be provided. No previous experience needed.
