Winter Holiday Programme: Animal Towers (5-8yrs)

Join us in making a wooden tower inspired by your favourite African animals!

In this workshop attendees will be exploring shapes, patterns and features found in animals they admire and love. The activities will include thinking about these animals symbolically and transforming them through drawing, cutting, pasting, and constructing.

The workshop takes inspiration from the artworks of South African artists like Cecil Skotnes, Sydney Kumalo and Hannes Harrs inspired by Africa and Inuk artists Kenojuak Ashevak and Kananginak Pootoogook, which will be shown and discussed as part of the creative process.

All materials and protective wear will be provided, inclusive of a snack pack (please inform us of any dietary requirements).
