Museum Saturday Wine tasting with La Motte
Join historic La Motte Wine Estate for a tasting of their internationally acclaimed Pierneef Collection of wines, as well as an exciting new release and a summer-time favourite.
The estate’s Pierneef Collection celebrates La Motte’s long-standing association with art and its passion for the preservation of the country’s art heritage. The Pierneef linocut used in the design elements are from a collection bought by the late Dr. Anton Rupert for his daughter and owner of La Motte, Hanneli Rupert-Koegelenberg. A selection of Pierneef linocuts will be on display. Made predominantly from grapes originating from the Cape South Coast, including some of the most Southernly vineyards in Africa, the Pierneef Sauvignon Blanc and Pierneef Syrah Viognier are elegant wines with exceptional maturation potential.
La Motte’s recently introduced Vin de Joie Rosé is inspired by the world-renowned rosé wine from Provençe, but it also applauds its South African origin. This dry and delicate pink wine’s label features a sculpture by Theo Megaw, in celebration of the rare beauty of one of the Cape’s most spectacular fynbos-species, the Blushing Bride.
Popular for its freshness and elegance, La Motte Sauvignon Blanc is a go-to choice for many wine lovers. Taste the latest vintage release – the perfect wine for summer holidays!
