Museum Saturday Don’t Bug Me – Ecoprinting workshop with Sanet Visser (8-13 years)

Come try your hand at printing with natural pigments you will source from the museum grounds. The workshop will start with a brief introduction to the background of natural dye and interesting stories of leaves and insects.
This will serve as inspiration for your design and printing of your very own tote bag to take home. As an additional surprise, a jar filled with onion skins that will dye your Japanese Shibori inspired headband, only revealing its magic a few days later.
All materials, a snack box and protective clothing will be provided, no experience is needed – just come have fun. This workshop is for 8 – 13 years. Please advise if there is any food allergies.

This workshop is inspired by three of the Social Impact Arts Prize award winners whose projects are focused on the garden and its elements.
