The Rupert Museum is home to a superb collection of Modern South African
art collected from 1940 to early 2000s by the late Dr Anton Rupert and his
wife Huberte Rupert.
The museum also manages the Rembrandt van Rijn collection of more contemporary South African art and the Huberte Goote collection, featuring Modern French tapestries and Italian paintings and sculpture.

Library
Our library is an intimate space for your event. It’s suitable for strategy meetings, talks and training days. The library has presentation equipment for an immersive experience. It includes access to a patio and adjacent private courtyard garden.
The MakerStudio / Event Lawn
Our MakerStudio is the perfect space to spark creativity and innovation. It is a versatile space, ideal for workshops, active learning, performances and presentations. The space is designed to suit everyone and give you the freedom to express your vision both indoors and outdoors.
Café
For a more intimate event, the Museum Café is a wonderful space ideal for special occasions like birthdays, evening cocktails or to bring your team together for a brunch or dining experience. The Museum Café includes a beautiful garden area.
Gallery Spaces
Create a memorable experience incorporating a touch of art history, as the gallery spaces are ideal for private dining or cocktail receptions. These spaces can be hired separately or as a collective depending on current exhibitions and number of guests. As part of the experience, guests can wander through the museum, and enjoy an exclusive tour from our experts.
